On September 3, 2018, at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, the working group of BioArt project and teachers, who participated in the 1st BIOART Workshop on biomaterials to nanostructures at Cracow University of Technology (CUT), Poland, (25 \u2013 29 June 2018) pesenred the BioArt project for PSTU freshmen- students, who will be studied on updated training programs and will be able to obtain a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, which will be opened in the State Pedagogical University on the basis of the BioArt project. The presentation of the project was so interesting for the first-year students, that almost all of them stayed to participated at the BioArt workshops for the students of senior courses. The work shops were conducted by the teachers of 3 departments – the participants of the project, who mastered the technologies of modern implantology at Cracow University of Technology.<\/p>\n
Inna Oliynyk, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Materials Science and Advanced Technologies, and thanks to the BioArt project, the Associate Professor of the Department of Biomedical Engineering from September 2018, presented the \u201cBiomaterials\u201d, which was proposed by the Polish partner. It is planned that students will study the updated discipline according to European standards, which will replace the current “Biomaterials and biocompatibility” at PSTU from the 6th semester.<\/p>\n
Oleksiy Koyffman, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Automation and Computer Technologies introduced “Computer Modeling of Multifunctional Models in Biomechanical Engineering”, which was also provided by a Polish Partner. This discipline will replace the current one “Methods of Biomedical Information Processing”.<\/p>\n
PSTU Project Coordinator of BioArt, Olexander Azarhov – Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor, Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering presented the modern capabilities of 3D printing in biomedical engineering and its relevancy in modern conditions.<\/p>\n
The next stage of the master class\u2019s series is the presentation of disciplines for teachers of PSTU and the development of methodological materials for implementation them in the educational process.<\/p>\n
