On April 25-26, 2019 PSTU BioArt Work Group participated in BioArt meeting, which was held in the framework of International Conference \u201cAdvanced Treatment of Hip and Knee Pathology\u201d, organized by Sytenko Institute of Spine & Joints Pathology NAMS of Ukraine. The meeting had an applied meaning. The project environment was enriched of collaboration of medical practitioners in the field of orthopedics and implantology, material scientists, researchers and academic teachers.<\/p>\n
During the conference, BioArt participants were able to get acquainted with modern challenges, reasons, solutions and best European practices of implantology and advanced treatment of hip and knee pathology, find out the leaders in implants production companies, which are the potential employers for BioArt graduators and visited Ukrainian key-player research institutions in biomedical application : National Science Center Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology, State Scientific Institution \u201cInstitute for Single Crystals\u201d of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Joint Stock Company “Ukrainian Research Institute of Refractories named named after A.S. Berezhnoy \u00bb and Sytenko Institute of Spine & Joints Pathology NAMS of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Gained during the event experience allowed Erasmus + BioArt project brought together the knowledge of bioengineers from technical universities – project partners, research institutions and leading traumatologist orthopedists for the implementation best practices in the field of artificial implantology with mutual benefit as for academics as for medical environment.<\/p>\n
