AI Mindset in Entrepreneurial Spaces: an international educational program on entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence
In June–July 2025, the international educational program AI Mindset in Entrepreneurial Spaces took place as part of the HEI-TRAIN (HEI Transformation for Entrepreneurship and AI-Driven Innovation) initiative.
Over the course of six weeks, more than 250 lecturers from Ukraine and European countries completed an intensive 180-hour online course aimed at developing entrepreneurial thinking and skills in applying artificial intelligence in education, business, and research. Each participant not only gained knowledge from leading experts but also worked on their own project, which was presented at the end of the program.
Among the trainers were leading lecturers and researchers from universities in Ukraine and Europe.
- Saulius Kromalcas and Inga Bielinskienė from Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania) introduced the topic of innovation strategies and competitive business positioning with the help of AI.
- Yana Sokil, lecturer at Tavria State Agrotechnological University (Ukraine), shared insights on the role of women in artificial intelligence and creative approaches to its use, as well as issues of corporate social responsibility in digital entrepreneurship.
- Pavlo Sidelov, representing Techfiz UAB (Lithuania) and lecturer at Pryazovskyi State Technical University (Ukraine), delivered sessions on strategic management in the lifecycle of AI startups and methods of evaluating their global potential.
Particular attention was paid to the ethical and social aspects of artificial intelligence.
- Darya Legeza from Tavria State Agrotechnological University (Ukraine) led lectures on the application of AI and VR in sustainable food industry development and on the role of AI in the professional careers of educators.
- Dr. Tetiana Gorokhova from the Centre for Advanced Internet Studies (CAIS, Germany) gave a lecture on entrepreneurship and global transformations in the digital age, while Prof. Oleksiy Mints from Pryazovskyi State Technical University (Ukraine) introduced participants to modern no-code and low-code tools for rapid business product development.
- The series of sessions concluded with Raitis Sevelis from ISMA University of Applied Sciences (Latvia), who demonstrated how to create business models using the innovative tool Rapid Visual.
A distinctive feature of the program was the involvement of non-academic partners — representatives of business, medicine, and civil society organizations who shared practical case studies of AI implementation.
- Alina Nikolaichuk (Germany), HR specialist and co-founder of Parrino Riserva, spoke about how German startups leverage AI and digital tools for growth.
- Mykhailo Lukash, owner of Prom-Life LLC (Ukraine), presented his experience of applying AI in B2B business models.

- Finally, Dr. Tetyana Oleksiyuk, Vice President of Access Info Group under the Council of Europe, delivered a talk on “Open Data in Europe for Research and Business.”

The course successfully combined academic theory, practical case studies, and teamwork. Its outcomes included not only newly acquired knowledge in AI-driven entrepreneurship but also innovative projects developed by all participants. The program brought together lecturers and practitioners from across Europe, fostering international partnerships and creating a platform for building an AI ecosystem in education, business, and science.
