“Active Citizens” for educators 2021/03/26

In order to involve as many high school teachers as possible in the activities of “Active Citizens”, the team of SHEІ “PІTU” at the request of the City Council Department of Education of Mariupol on February 24-26, 2021 conducted 4 training sessions on the project of “Ambassadors of Active Citizenship” .

The new Ukrainian school needs a completely different view of the educational process than 10 years ago. The education reform aimed at forming civic education and an active citizen. That is why the skills of the creation of intercultural dialogue and a favorable space for development for young people are becoming mandatory for educators.

According to this training program, educators got acquainted with the goals and objectives of “Active Citizens”, mastered the Tree of Expectations, jointly formed a strategic goal, traveled the River of Active Citizens. The program covers the blocks: “Me: identity and culture”, “Me and YOU: dialogue”, “Local and Global Communities”, “Social Action Planning” and also learned to use the tools of blogging in the educational process.
