Kick-of meeting of the GERNG project at Warsaw University of Technology, Poland February 27-28, 2019

The meeting was held at Faculty of Transport of Warsaw University of Technology.

Priazovskyi State Technical University was represented by Dr. Ihor Pirch, the Dean of Faculty of Transport Technologies, CRENG Project Coordinator from PSTU and Kateryna Polupanova Head of the International Project Department, CRENG Project Manager from PSTU.

Welcome speech of Prof. Jan Szmidt , the Rector of the Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology have open the meeting. Mr. Yashar Omarov, Head of the Unit of Higher and Secondary professional education of the The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Resulguly Geldiyev, Leading Specialist of the Department of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Turkmenistan were hopeful, that CRENG project will be a strong point for internationalization of education between European Union and Partner Countries.

Why CRENG?

Ukraine, Azerbaidjan, Turkmenistan are located in strategic important transport routes in the middle of biggest traffic flows in the world between Europe and Asia. They are continuously developing transport  system , which are on their way of integration into Global transport system to provide cargo and passengers movement from Europe to Asia. EU supports such integration by establishing program, which supports development of Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia.

For successful integration to global transport network, providing high level transport services to both Partner Countries (PC)  and global community in the condition of uncertain continuous evolution of global supply chains, it is necessary to take into account European experience and support CRENG implementation by providers of transport services of all levels (local, regional, national).

Nowadays, in the conditions of the integration to the Global transport network Partner Countrys’ companies started to implement anti risks and crisis strategies and faced with luck of high skilled specialists in CRENG area. The necessary skills have to contain in continuous interconnection of actions aimed to: identifying, assessing the risks of transport system and making decisions about their minimization; the development of scenarios for a clear, immediate action plan in the event of a risk situation for reducing, rectification of the consequences of disasters and restoring the work of the transport system in the shortest possible time. In addition, the growth of amount and complexity of the transport system generates an increase in the amount of information that must be taken into account when developing anti-crisis strategies. Achieving success in risk and crisis management is impossible without knowing and taking into account the intricacies of organizing a logistics process and applying innovative information and telecommunication technologies.

The project dedicated to contribute CRENG development in PCs by creation of the environment for education of high skilled specialists in line with labor market, EU best practices and Bologna process.

At the kick-off meeting Partners from Poland, Germany, France, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan contribute the needs of  CRENG implementation in higher  education system, developed and approved the strategy of mutual development of CRENG curricular and elaborate detailed plan of activities.

In this way, at the end of the CRENG project, a new Master program that responds to modern labor market  demand will be developed in accordance with the best European practices and implemented in the educational process at Partner Countries’ Universities.
